As a brand at the center of culture for over a century, Levi’s® garments have witnessed the rise of a wide range of beloved musical movements, including punk and Britpop. Across the modern cultural landscape, there is an undeniable nostalgia for the music, styles, and attitudes of these bygone eras. To help evoke memories of fans wearing their favorite band tees and classic 501® jeans and to celebrate one of the most adored bands, the Levi’s® Band Tee Collection launches with tees honoring Oasis.
The first Levi’s® Band Tee Collection offers an array of tees based in black and white that capture the moody, edgy undertones of Manchester’s rock superstars.
In order to create a nostalgic, vintage look, the collection utilizes found or re-purposed visual elements from the bands combined with some updated print and process techniques and washes. For fans of Oasis, the collection’s offerings include tees emblazoned with the classic Decca Logo, a Maine Road football pitch, and the Union Jack logo, which adorned the first Oasis shirts ever issued. Each of these shirts comes in both black and white. Throughout the collection, interior neck labels, inspired by ‘90’s era woven labels, add period authenticity to each t-shirt.
Timed to the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut studio album Definitely Maybe, the Levi’s® Band Tee Collection is available August 26th on Levi.com, the Levi’s® App, and select Levi’s® Stores.
